01
What it is
Developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, the Gottman Method draws on long-term research with thousands of couples. It gives partners a shared language for what goes wrong in conflict and what helps.
Our relationship counselling is informed by the Gottman Method. It focuses on disarming conflict, increasing intimacy, respect and affection, removing the barriers that keep you stuck, and building empathy and understanding inside the relationship.
02
What a session is like
Couples sessions are 1.5 hours, which gives each of you time to be heard and still work towards resolution. The first block includes two individual sessions, so each partner has space to speak one-on-one.
You want to fight for it, not with each other.
03
Is it right for us?
If you keep having the same fight, feel more like roommates than partners, or want to stay together but do not know how to get unstuck, this is what the approach was built for.
04
